If you want a universal player, plays all formats, which are likely to have a high use of audio and video quality and is well freatured this is for you.
More impressive is the speed of the reader reads data from the Blu-ray disc and start playing. If it is fed with a Blu-ray, but with a regular DVD, but the video quality is amazing. The same holds true for the audio material (CD, SACD, DVD-A).

After the edition of the "first" Sony Blu-Ray bought two years ago, when I came on the market, I discovered that I had made a big mistake. The original player was very slow to load BluRay discs, but sometimes up to 10 minutes may be played before the movie. This latest version of Sony Blu-ray seems that all the problems she had corrected his predecessor. Upload and start playing Blu-Ray within 15-30 seconds.

Finally, this new version will cost nearly half what I paid for the first edition.

After 2 months of savings and I finally got my hands on my Oppo. He had to sell more stuff just to get their hands on this talk BDP-83. Not much to say other than what has been said here and the basis of my decision that I have the Oppo. I mean, when I look at the power cables for HDMI cables that came with the purchase is made of quality shows. Seriously guys if I boast Abt into cables by all means to imagine the sensation and feeling like a player! Oppo is nit picky and pays great attention to detail. And it shows. This is a solid player!

I hesitated to make the jump to Blu-ray, because I have an older HDTV without HDMI. I read that the Blu Ray downconversion to send the signal outside the door was not huge component of any Blu Ray. So I decided not to upgrade until I had the opportunity to upgrade my TV.

Very nice unit. Easy to install and connect the up.Boot time is not bad, but like all the players it takes time. They only had the unit 3 weeks, but very happy. They have not made any updates to the photos of the disks, so can not comment on them. Buy the drive again without stopping.
