LG BD 370 Network Blu-ray Disc Player Reviewed by M. Jun (USA)
Satisfied Rating (8/10)
I have a Panasonic 42 "720p plasma TV and the transition from DVD to Blu-Ray is like when I saw HD programming for the first time. The picture is so clear, vivid and detailed. I do not know how to lower DVD until I saw a Blu-ray. tax Movies as soon as another advantage of Blu Ray is the text clearer, so it is easier to read subtitles. The letters are less jagged a DVD.
An important observation is that some blu ray discs to return. If you stop a movie and play it again, do not pick up where you left off and you have the movie start. (Do a search on Google for "blue ray restart the game" to learn. It has something to do with the way in which the disks are encrypted.) This is really frustrating and boring. I wish I had known this before I bought the player.
The remote is very simple and economical than the player himself. It works well, but there are rarely used the buttons at the bottom, which requires slipping into a plastic cap to gain access to that disturbing. I think it was designed to reduce noise, but it seems perfect to break.
I bought the LG BD-370, because it plays Blu-ray and Netflix streaming. I have a 3Mbps DSL connection and the streaming quality is very good and similar to an upconverted DVD.

If you are someone with a Blu-Ray collection who travels and wants a way to watch them on the move, keep going. The DMP-B500 has a 10.1 inch screen that operates on a 1024x600 screen resolution. | Review by T. Nelson (Virginia, USA.) 2010-04-06 The reason they listed the resolution as WSVGA is they didnt want to outright state exactly what it was. WSVGA is 1024x600, which happens to be the standard on many netbooks these days. This device does not need to exist. At that resolution you would do well to just watch DVD's. It is totally unsuitable for watching blu-rays. It cannot even play at... Read more reviews | ||

| Review by Terry A. McCArthy (USA) 2010-07-26 Streaming video is the future of in-home entertainment and the BD65 is a capable unit. It pairs up well with my Panasonic Plasma. The video quality is perfectly acceptable but the feature set... Read more reviews | ||
