I waited until the price of Blu-ray player below $ 200. Everywhere I read that the Panny produces an exceptional picture. I also read that it was all the different modes of play as I had. As I am the only advantage of the next most expensive model might say that could accommodate analog connections. I turned on all the HDMI, so I prefer the low-cost model.
My old Phillips DVD player had a lot of interface problems, but has an excellent up conversion mode. The Panny DB60 is at least as good.
So what else? Audio, video and up-conversion are widely acknowledged to be excellent. The only problem seems to be the loading times.
The $ 500 Oppo Blu-ray is the best time of loading. If I had more than three times as much, just a faster load times, you paid for this? As it happens, there is a new version of firmware, which can speed up the loading. I saw that this was available and downloaded, I (very little) at one time. This is my only regret. If I had more patience I loading and the other before the download is offset, I would be before and after statistics and to determine if the initial criticisms of the store were still valid.
BTW the option of YouTube is not very useful. I'm surprised. I have a good number of videos uploaded to YouTube. I was expecting to use this feature. Alas, with the low res flash video at low bit mono audio to benefit not much to learn on a big screen with a Dolby 5.1 speaker system.
